Antiquing

Here's a little about just a few of Guthrie's local antique stores!
Check out more antique store information on the Antiques, Boutiques & Gifts page.

Owner/Operator John Stanbro opened Above the Rest Antique Mall in 2000 in a storefront of the Stroud Building on the north side West Oklahoma Avenue. John got his start in the antiques business through family, as the store was originally owned by his father -- when they began, they both discovered they loved running an antiques business much more than working an office job. John focuses on quirky and unusual antiques - things people don't see every day, such as pop culture items, as well as the glassware, jewelry, furniture, and more usually found in an antique mall. They maintain a Facebook page, and love talking to visitors about Guthrie history and festivals.

Above the Rest Antique Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Find them at 110 W. Oklahoma Ave., Guthrie, OK 73044.

Owner/Operator Karen White opened Country Corner in 2000 within the iconic Gray Building on the southwest corner of Oklahoma Avenue and Division St. Karen hand-selects over 80% of the items in her store. Some of her favorite sections of the store are the vintage toy area and vintage radios. Karen's passion for antiques started in the 1980's after she inherited some family antiques. Country Corner was mentioned in House Beautiful in 2016, and the store is in itself a destination for visitors all over the world.

Country Corner is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sundays 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Find them at 101 W. Oklahoma Ave., Guthrie, OK 73044.

Magnolia Antique Mall

Owner/Operator Art Aguirre opened Magnolia Antique Mall in a beautiful unnamed building on the south side of West Oklahoma Avenue. Art loves talking to his vendors to find out the stories behind the beautiful items he carries.  Mr. Aguirre also owns Wisteria Antique Mall at 120 W. Oklahoma Ave., and hosts an outdoor antique and vintage market each spring and fall in Guthrie. Watch for listings on Craigslist starting in April!

Magnolia Antique Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays noon to 5:00 p.m. Find them at 111 W. Oklahoma Ave., Guthrie, OK 73044.

Owner/Operators Roy & Eileen Miller opened Recollections Antique Mall in 1995, and moved to the present 7000 square-foot freestanding building on the east side North First Street between Oklahoma Ave. and Cleveland Ave. in March of 1997. Roy and Eileen had managed a flea market and antique mall in Moore called Super Flea years ago, but when Super Flea closed, they ventured out on their own, first in Oklahoma City, then in Guthrie. Roy describes their current store as a hidden secret of Guthrie, since they're around the corner from Oklahoma Avenue and many people don't turn the corner and see them! They have very unique and unusual collections, including blacksmithing tools and anvils. They enhance the atmosphere in their shop with Christian music.

Recollections Antique Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Find them at 124 N. 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044. They can also be reached by phone at 405-260-0101.

Owner/Operators Carole and George Boyette opened Treasures and Books in 2010, and moved into the Farquarshon Building on the north side of West Oklahoma Avenue in 2013. Carole and George got their start in the antiques business after selling their own items in a booth in a Guthrie antique store. Carole describes herself and George as "merchants at heart," and as she loves reading, and recommends exploring their great selection of books.

Treasures and Books is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Find them at 114 W. Oklahoma Ave., Guthrie, OK 73044.
