Guthrie Events: March 2021

March 6 & 7

  • Guthrie Walks PLUS. Hear Guthrie’s early history during a 1 hour easy walk downtown. These dates the history walks are offered 2:30 -3:30pm, 293-8404. Adults $10, ages 7-14 $5.

March 6 & 20

  • The Byron Berline Band bluegrass music show @ Double Stop Music Hall, 121 E. Oklahoma, $15. 282-6646

March Saturdays 6, 13, 20, 27

  • Art Classes @ Gallery Grazioso, w/Steve Boaldin, (from PBS show) $30/class, 5:30pm, sign up

March 10

  • Visitor Welcome Center at Guthrie Tourism (308 S. Division, by Hoboken coffee) is open 10am-4pm to greet and inform contestants & families here for the Cinch Timed Event Championships at Lazy E Arena. Shows will be March 11, 12, 13. Tickets at the door or at

March 11-21: “Break It Easy!”

  • March 15-19 is Spring Break for many area schools and colleges. Visit Guthrie for take-it-easy fun at one-of-a-kind places where you can Shop, Play, Eat, & Stay. Guthrie is THE destination during the 11 day stretch that includes 3 events at Lazy E Arena (March 11-21, see below), two weekends and the week days of spring break. Visitor Welcome Centers will be open at these locations, 10am-4pm, throughout the 11 days: Guthrie Tourism- 308 S. Division, Guthrie Chamber of Commerce- 112 N. Division, and the Tourism Gazebo- corner of Division and Harrison, ((one location on Sundays – Gazebo). Area recreation and entertainment venue information will be available. Shops, businesses and restaurants may offer special perks, discounts or other promotions, and will be listed on a flyer and on social media. March 14:

  • Daylight Savings Time begins 2:00 am. Spring up an hour!

March 14-18: Bob Feist Invitational Team Roping (BFI)

March 19-21: US Team Roping Winter Classic

March 26-28: Mounted Shooting Classic March 26-28.

Guthrie places (museums, galleries, historic architecture, lakes, parks) and events (music, theater, celebrations) to enjoy, restaurants to try, shops to buy unique and useful items, lodgings in which to stay, all this and more can be perused at!
