Beginner Bunch Boxes are available for each level, complete with yarn, needles, links to video instruction and more. Classes are offered once a month at no additional charge. Classes are come & go between the hours of 10-3. Ages 12 & up.
Art Loft Oklahoma - April showers bring May flowers just in time for festival season! Learn the ancient craft of felt making with wool and silk flowers and stems. Add your own personal touch with many available colors to choose from. Leave with a completed flower that can be worn as a brooch or on a vine as a hat band or lanyard. Oklahoma Mini Mill - Oklahoma Mini Mill will be hosting the Guthrie Hand Spinners group from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you are a spinner, bring your wheel or spindle and drop in. If you are interested in spinning, come watch and learn, or pick up a drop spindle and (literally) give it a whirl! This is a FREE event for all! They'll also be offering tours of the fiber processing mill - the only one in Oklahoma!
G Gallery & Glass Studio - Come blow your own glass ornament at G Gallery from 12-5 p.m.! Who can do it? Anyone who is 12 years old (with parent or guardian present) or older. No experience needed. You will pick your colors, watch the glassblower start the process for making your ornament and then you will blow air in to the pipe to blow the ornament to the right size. Then the glassblower will add a small glass loop for hanging. Your ornament will then go in to the annealer for 24 hours. You can come to the gallery to pick it up or it can be shipped to you for a small fee. The cost is $35 per person. Register in advance by calling 405-282-7778 or emailing ggalleryandglass@yahoo.com.
Tipsy Artist - Join the paint party at 6:30 p.m.! This is an easy & fun painting experience. Beginners are encouraged and welcomed, so relax and succeed! Recommended Ages: 12 and up when accompanied by an adult. Ticket price includes the use of all painting supplies & instruction, and the 16x20 canvas is yours to keep as your masterpiece!
