Red Brick Nights ... Saturday, July 5

Red Brick Nights is kicking off their season with live music, food, and shopping, with the gigantic fireworks show finishing off the evening. They don't call this Oklahoma's favorite block party for nothing! Food trucks, kids area, and vendors open up at 5 p.m. If you need a break from the heat before the music starts at 7 p.m., the presenting sponsor Wanderfolk Spirits has their tasting room (The Wander Inn) right next to the stage, offering cold craft cocktails and air conditioning. The Ross Clayton Band brings irresistible and infectious country music to the RBN stage, while Shortt Dogg fuses R&B, jazz, soul, and funk into one of the best parties around. An incredible evening of music is followed up by a one-of-a-kind fireworks show produced by Guthrie's own Fireworkz A' Poppin. Bring the whole family to the corner of Wentz & Oklahoma in downtown Guthrie, set out your lawn chairs, and have yourselves one of the best evenings of entertainment in Oklahoma.

The Shark Is Broken ... July 3-5
The Pollard Theatre in downtown Guthrie pays homage to the classic American film Jaws with THE SHARK IS BROKEN. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the movie, the Pollard’s presentation provides a glimpse into the frustrations of filming this 70’s movie masterpiece. The lead actors—Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider—find themselves crammed into a too-small boat, riddled with foul weather and the unwelcome news that the shark is broken…AGAIN! This play about “the greatest movie almost never made” finishes its critically acclaimed run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings of the July 4th weekend.
